Responsibilities of Editors

Editors at RIPK are entrusted with the following responsibilities:

  • Making recommendations regarding the acceptance, revision, or rejection of submissions based on scientific merit, originality, and relevance.
  • Upholding ethical standards in publishing guidelines and RIPK policies on research integrity.
  • Collaborating with authors, reviewers, and editorial staff to improve the quality and clarity of manuscripts.
  • Participating in editorial meetings, policy discussions, and strategic initiatives to advance the journal’s mission.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates for editorial positions possess the following qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant discipline is normally required. In exceptional cases, candidates with substantial scholarly contributions and recognized expertise may be considered.
  • Established expertise in their respective field, demonstrated through publications, citations, and professional recognition.
  • Previous editorial experience or active participation in peer review is highly desirable.
  • Strong commitment to ethical scholarly publishing, including transparency, reproducibility, and integrity.
  • Ability to manage editorial tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of communication and professionalism.
